Non-HPE transceiver module
reported in system logs
Is the vendor name HPE?
HPE transceiver module?
Yes
Contact the support
Solution
To resolve the problem:
1.
Identify the vendor of the transceiver module plugged into the port:
a. Use the display transceiver interface command to display the transceiver information.
If the Vendor Name field is HPE, the transceiver module might be an HPE transceiver
module without an electrical label or a non-HPE transceiver module.
b. If the Vendor Name field is not HPE, you can determine that this is not an HPE transceiver
module. Replace it with an HPE transceiver module.
2.
Contact Hewlett Packard Enterprise Support to determine whether the transceiver module
vendor is HPE:
a. Use the debug port optical-eeprom command in probe view to collect the transceiver
module information. Send the bar code of the transceiver module to Hewlett Packard
Enterprise Support to identify the vendor of the transceiver module.
b. If you determine that the transceiver module vendor is not HPE, replace it with an HPE
transceiver module.
3.
If the transceiver module vendor is identified as HPE but the problem persists, contact Hewlett
Packard Enterprise Support.
