Antennas

The antennas route from the WLAN module to transceivers at the top of the computer. The transceivers are
secured to the computer with adhesive.
NOTE:
WLAN module orientation may vary.
To remove the antennas:
1.
Prepare the computer for disassembly (see

Remove the rear port cover (see

Remove the stand (see

Remove the access panel (see
5.
Remove the heat sink (see
6.
Remove the webcam plastic cover (see
7.
Remove the power button board and disconnect the cable from the fingerprint reader board (see

Remove the audio board (see

Remove the VESA bracket/Fan assembly (see

Remove the rear I/O cover (see

Remove the I/O bracket (see

Separate the display from the computer (see

Disconnect the antennas from the WLAN module (1).
14.
Peel the right antenna off the frame (2).
15.
Remove the cables from the clips built into the chassis (3). Remove the right antenna and cable.
