The 2 Digital Inputs can all be configured to generate interrupts to the CJ-series
CPU Unit. If a Digital Input is configured to generate interrupts, an interrupt is
issued to the CJ-series CPU Unit at a rising- or falling edge of the signal applied
to the Digital Input. The Function that is assigned to the Digital Input determines
if the interrupt is generated at a rising- or falling edge (refer to 3-4 "Digital Input
Functions").

You can (DM-) configure a Digital Input to generate interrupts by setting the corre-
sponding bit in the Interrupt Enable Data of the Digital Inputs. The Interrupt Enable
Data of the Digital Inputs consists of 2 bits representing the 2 Digital Inputs. By
default the Inputs are disabled to generate interrupts.

Bits 0 and 1 correspond with the Physical Digital Inputs I0 and I1.
Every Digital Input that is enabled to generate interrupts is assigned to an external
interrupt task in the CJ-series CPU Unit. In the External Interrupt Task you should
write an appropriate (ladder) program that takes the required action on the occur-
rence of an interrupt.
