OPERATION MODES AND WARNINGS

Depending on the current operation mode or the indicated warning, a relevant
graphical symbol appears in the upper middle part of the screen. Table 4 presents
the UPS POWERLINE RT functional states set, including symbols shown and their
descriptions.

Normal mode (mains operation).
In the normal mode, the UPS unit is powered from the mains. The
input rectifier transforms the alternating current voltage from the mains
into direct current voltage. A DC voltage bus is the basic source of
power for the inverter system, which in turns generates a single-
phase, sinusoidal AC voltage with model parameters to be used to
power the loads. Batteries are charged with an independently
operating charger.
Battery mode (battery operation).
In case of no power or power with insufficient parameters from the
mains, receivers are powered by batteries. If the UPS unit operates in
the battery mode, once every 4 seconds an information sound is
generated. If the battery charge level is low, once every second an
alarm sound is generated. The battery operation mode is activated
until the power in the mains is back or the batteries get discharged or
until a battery failure occurs.
Bypass mode.
The UPS unit goes into BYPASS mode when the inverter is
overloaded, the permissible temperature is exceeded or the inverter is
damaged, and also when the unit is switched off with the " " button
on the front panel. If the UPS unit has entered BYPASS mode due to
overload or exceeded permissible temperature, the unit will
periodically check the load and the inverter's temperature. When
these parameters are back to standard levels, the UPS unit will restart
the inverter. In BYPASS mode the UPS unit does not protect its
receivers from power losses. The voltage from the input line is
directed to the unit's output through an internal filter.
The UPS generates a sound every 2 minutes in the bypass mode.
Stand-by mode.
The UPS unit is logically switched off, the main lines meet correctness
criteria for the mains. The battery-saving functions and mechanisms
are active.
The UPS unit's LCD panel shows information on the battery charge
level and the mains parameters (voltage and frequency). The UPS
unit is not supplying power to the output (receivers are not powered).
