7 Maintenance and Care
7.9.3 Cooling system - combined hydraulic oil-
water cooler
7.9.3.1 Checking the coolant level
• Check the coolant level daily before starting,
with the machine parked on level ground. To do
so, use the sight glass (37-1/2) of the combined
cooler. If the coolant level is insufficient, top up
accordingly.
Danger of scalding
due to hot oil getting into contact with
skin or eyes.
• Only open the cooler cap after the
engine has cooled down.
• Remove the cap (37-1/1) and top up coolant if
required. With the engine cooled down, the
compensation tank should be half full.
Refill with a 50%-50% mixture of water
and antifreeze.
7.9.3.2 Checking antifreeze
Before the beginning of the cold season, check the
level of antifreeze.
• The antifreeze is factory-set to -25 °C. If
temperatures are lower, the level of antifreeze
must be adjusted accordingly.
