INSPECTION
Inspect and check the remove parts for the
following abnormalities.
Handlebars distortion.
Handlebars clamp wear.
Race wear and brinelling.
Worn or damaged steel balls.
Distortion of steering stem.
REASSEMBLY
Reassemble and remount the steering stem in the
reverse order of disa sse mbly and removal, and
also carry out the following steps:
INNER RACES
Press in the upper and lower inner races using the
special tool.
Steering race

OUTER RACE
Press in the outer race by using the special
tool.
Steering bearing
