Inspecting equipment
Symptom
The Link/Activity LED for
a connected port is off or
does not blink (and you
believe that traffic is
present).
The Link/Activity LED
blinks continuously.
The Online LED is steady
amber for longer than 3
minutes.

Checking power supply LEDs

Follow the guidelines in this section to maintain the power supplies.
Procedure steps
1. Power on the chassis. Verify that the power output LED for each power supply turns

Probable cause
The switch is
experiencing a port
connection problem, or
the switch link partner
does not autonegotiate
properly.
There may be a high
traffic load or possible
packet broadcast storm.
The module fails in the
power-on self-test. A
diagnostic or hardware
failure is detected.

The 8005 DC power supply requires the removal and the replacement of the
312096-A bezel to view the power supply LEDs. For more information, see Avaya

The following figure shows the location of the LED for all DC power supplies.
Corrective action

the cable to another port to see
whether the problem occurs on the
new port.
