DC power supply replacement
8. Make sure that the +DC cable is always connected to the positive terminal and the
9. Attach the earth ground lead to the ground stud on the power supply. See
10. Attach the positive voltage lead to the positive terminal on the power supply and
11. Attach the negative voltage lead to the negative terminal on the power supply to
12. Use a 7/16 inch hex wrench to tighten the hex nut on each terminal.
13. Attach the earth ground cable to the system or rack ground for your DC input power
14. Use a Phillips screwdriver to replace the plastic safety cover on the power supply.

Routine Maintenance
Either +VDC or –VDC can be referenced to the frame ground for +48 VDC (nominal)
or –48 VDC (nominal) applications.
–DC cable is always connected to the negative terminal.

Before you continue with this procedure, ensure that the DC power source is
switched off.
Attaching the earth ground lead to the ground stud
in the following order:
a. flat washer
b. crimp lug
c. lock washer
d. Hex nut
insert a lock washer between the crimp lug and each hex nut.
