A. Fuel System Servicing Precautions
Failure to follow fuel system
WARNING
servicing precautions can
result in injury to personnel and/or
damage to the rotorcraft.
(1). Only approved personnel can fuel the
rotorcraft.
(2). Clothing that makes static electricity
cannot be used by personnel.
(3). Open flames and smoking are not
permitted in the refueling area.

available near the work area.
(5). The fuel vehicle must be parked 20 feet
(6 meters) minimum from the
rotorcraft during the fuel operation.
(6). Ground the fuel vehicle if possible.
(7). Ground the rotorcraft before the start
of the fuel system servicing (ref.
Figure 204).
(8). All rotorcraft electrical power must be
OFF, unless you receive other instruc
tions from MDHI.
