Perform the following tasks for depreservation
and activation to return the MD Explorer to
service.

Blade Tiedown
(1). Remove protective covers (T2008, T107
and T106) stow in designated location.
(2). Clean helicopter as necessary (Ref.
CSP-SPM, Section 20-20-00).
(3). Open all doors and ventilate helicopter
(Ref. Section 06-00-00).
(4). Remove blade tiedowns (T108) and
stow with other covers.
(5). Clean and depreserve engine in
accordance with manufacturers Engine
Manual (Ref. Section 01-00-00).
(6). Record date helicopter was prepared for
service in helicopter records.
(7). Remove static ground wire installed for
storage.

(1). Remove protective covers (T2008, T107
and T106) stow in designated location.
(2). Open all doors and ventilate helicopter
(Ref. Section 06-00-00).
(3). Remove tiedowns (T108) and stow with
other covers.
(4). Service and connect battery (Ref.
Section 96-00-00).
(5). Clean main rotor assembly (Ref.
CSP-SPM, Section 20-20-00).
(6). Check fuel system for presence of water
and drain as necessary.
(7). Fill fuel cell as necessary with approved
fuel (Ref. Section 12-00-00).
(8). Clean and service hydraulic system in
accordance with (Ref. Section
29-00-00).
(9). Clean and depreserve engine in
accordance with manufacturers Engine
Manual (Ref. Section 01-00-00).
(10). Clean helicopter as necessary (Ref.
Section 20-20-00).
(11). Ensure all removed components have
been reinstalled. Check helicopter
records for components that have been
removed or disconnected. Check for
subsequent installation.
(12). Ensure systems have been properly
depreserved and serviced before any
