(5). Disconnect hose (4) and install
AN919-18J reducer in coupling nut
(Ref. Figure 602).
(6). Set HEAT switch on utility panel to
OFF.
(7). Make sure cabin flow control valve and
crew compartment heat/defog valve are
closed.
(8). Connect a test fixture as shown in
Figure 603.
(9). Apply regulated shop air 90-110 psig
(620.5-758.5 kPa) to air supply
adapter.

flow rate. Air flow rate must be less
than 2.0 cfm (56.6 L/m).
(11). If the air flow rate is more than 2.0 cfm
(56.6 L/m), continue functional test as
follows:
(a). check all tube connections and
fittings above the engine deck for
leaks.
(b). Apply liquid leak detector (C809) to
the flow control shutoff valve,
firewall fittings, main bleed air
fitting, and tube and hose connectors.
(c). Make sure there are no air leaks
around the flow control shutoff valve,
firewall fittings, main bleed air
fitting, and tube and hose connectors.
(d). If necessary, repair air leaks.
(12). If air flow rate is less than 2.0 cfm
(56.6 L/m), continue functional test as
follows:
(a). Set POWER switch on ELEC
TRICAL MASTER panel to BAT/
EXT.
(b). Set HEAT switch on utility panel to
OVRD.
(c). Air flow rate must be less than 4.0
cfm (113.2 L/m).
(13). If air flow rate is more than 4.0 cfm
(113.2 L/m), continue functional test as
follows:
(a). Check all tube connections and
fittings for leaks.
(b). Apply liquid leak detector (C809) to
tube connectors and fittings.
(c). Make sure there are no air leaks at
tube connections and fittings.
(d). If necessary, repair air leaks.
(14). If air flow is less than 4.0 cfm (113.2
L/m), continue functional test as
follows:
(a). Manually operate flow control valve
to make sure aft cabin heat ejector
control cable is adjusted correctly.
