FRONT FORK AND SKI 11 – 12
Reassembly
Remove all the elements from the inner tube, one at a
o
time, and clean the tube.
Replace the seals and bushings with new ones,
o
following the prescribed sequence. (See the illustration)
NOTICE:
While installing seals, wrap the end of the strut with a band of
adhesive tape so that the seals will not be damaged by the
sharp edge.
Make sure the bushings (S & R) are well inserted in
o
their respective positions by using the special tool (W)
designed for that purpose and included in the fork
maintenance tool kit.
The oil and dust seals (T & M), contrary to the bushings
((S & R) and the washer (Q), must absolutely be installed
on the inner tube in a specific direction for the fork to
operate properly.
