Changing the air filter

Important
Have air filter serviced at a Ducati Dealer or authorised
Service Center.

Checking and topping up coolant level

(fig. 70)
Check coolant level in the expansion tank on the right side of
the motorcycle; it should be between the MIN (1) and MAX
(2) level marks.
Top up if the level is below the MIN mark.
Unscrew the filler plug (3, fig. 70) and add a mixture
consisting of water and antifreeze SHELL Advance Coolant
or Glycoshell (35÷40% of the volume) up to MAX mark.
Refit the filler plug (3) and reassemble all removed parts.

This mixture improves operating conditions (coolant will start
freezing at –20 °C/- 4 °F).
Cooling circuit capacity: 2.3 cu. dm (litres).
Warning
Place the motorcycle upright on a flat surface and
make sure the engine is cold before proceeding.
