Stopping the motorcycle

If you let go of the throttle twistgrip, the motorcycle will slow
down gradually and smoothly. Then, shift down releasing the
clutch, and finally change from first to neutral. Apply brakes
and you will bring the motorcycle to a complete stop. To
switch the engine off, simply turn the key to OFF (1, fig. 64).
Important
Never leave the key in the ON position when engine is
stopped, or this will damage the electric components.

Parking

Stop the motorcycle, then put it on the side stand (see page
63).
Turn the handlebar fully left and block it by pushing in the
ignition key and turning it to the position (2, fig. 65).
If you park in a garage or other facilities, make sure that there
is proper ventilation and that the motorcycle is not near a
source of heat.
You may leave the parking lights on by turning the key to
position (3, fig. 65).
Important
Do not leave the key turned to position (3, fig. 65) for
long periods or the battery will run down. Never leave the
ignition key in the switch when you are leaving your bike
unattended.
