To clean the system and transducer
1 Turn off the system by pressing the Power button.
2 Unplug the power cord from the outlet.
3 Disconnect the transducer from the system.
4 Remove the transducer sheath, if applicable.
5 Use either a pre-moistened wipe or a soft cloth dampened with cleaner and disinfectant.

6 Clean the exterior surfaces of the ultrasound system to remove any debris or bodily fluids, by wiping from
clean areas to the soiled areas to avoid cross-contamination.
7 Clean the cable and transducer body, by wiping the cable and transducer body, starting from the
transducer cable, in a downward motion toward the scanhead.
Caution
8 Ensure that the system and transducer stay wet with the disinfectant for the wet time listed in
"Cleaner transducer compatibility and wet contact time"
This may require reapplication to achieve the required wet time.
9 Verify that all gel, debris, and bodily fluids have been removed from the system and transducer. If
necessary, repeat steps 6, 7, and 8 with a new wipe.
10 Allow the transducer and system to air dry in a clean, well-ventilated space.
11 Examine the system, transducer and cable for damage, such as cracks or splitting where fluid can enter. If
damage is evident, do not use the transducer. Instead, contact FuljiFilm SonoSite or your local
representative.
