Dosing units
5.3.1 General information
The appliance is provided with detergent and rinse aid units as standard.
Only lather-free detergents and rinse aids suitable for industrial mechanical
dishwashers may be used.
If unsuitable products are used, the life expectancy of the dosing units can be
reduced considerably.
Observe the dosing instructions of the manufacturer.
5.3.2 Detergent dosing unit Model PG-3 SAN
The dosing unit is designed for the automatic addition of liquid alkaline detergent
to the wash water.
The detergent is moved from the container into the wash tank by means of a
hose line. The dosing unit is self-priming. Dosing takes place during each filling
cycle and at the beginning of each program cycle and is controlled by an
automatic timer.
Starting the appliance
For a faster preparation for operation if the hose is empty, the following step can
be followed:
Press program II for over 5 seconds when the appliance is switched off and the
priming program for the detergent dosing unit will commence running. This then
runs for 20 seconds, the LED of program II is illuminated and the temperature
indication light is also illuminated. The appliance switches itself off again at the
end of the priming program.
Indication / Adjustment
The detergent concentration is indicated or can be modified if program II is
pressed longer than 5 seconds in stand-by-operation. Then, instead of the
temperatures, the dosing values adjusted in line with table 1 are shown as a
flashing pattern. The key must remain pressed. The value can be increased by
touching the program start key or reduced by pressing the program III key. The
new value is transferred directly into the data memory on release of the program
II key.
A dose of approx. 2 ml of detergent per litre of tank water is the correct normal
concentration. This can be increased/reduced to 5 ml/l or to 1 ml/l depending on
the water quality, the items to be washed and the degree of soiling.
