Synectix VMS Lite
depend on the extension length and may be in any mix of 1, 2, 3 or 4 digits. The
Operator extensions may also be repeated within the same type or across different
types also.
Day Operator Extensions: After pressing 2 for day operator extensions, the following
choices are available:
Press 1 to Edit
Press 2 to Review
Press 3 for Serial Operator transfer feature
Edit Extensions: Add the extensions one by one as the Synectix VMS Lite prompts
with "Extension 1" or "Extension 2" etc. To terminate creating extensions, press #. The
existing entries are always overwritten.
To delete all the extensions, press # when you listen to the prompt "Extension 1". To
delete a particular extension, re-enter all the desired extensions and press # at the end.
Review: The existing extensions are played back by Synectix VMS Lite.
Edit / Review for Night Operator, Break Operator and Holiday Operator extensions is
same as for Day Operator Extensions.
Serial Operator transfer (For Day Operator only): Sometimes it is desirable to have a
separate operator for each port on the Voice Mail System. To enable this feature you
must first enter 4 operator extensions and then follow the prompts to enable or disable
this feature.
If this feature is enabled, a call received on Port 1 will be directed to the first extension
programmed in the Day operator list, a call received on Port 2 will be directed to the
second extension in the list and so on. If that particular operator is busy, the call will
overflow to the next operator in the list.
Operator Transfer Mode: Operator transfer mode may be of 3 types:
1.
Blind mode of call transfer.
2.
Semi-supervised mode of call transfer.
3.
Fully supervised mode of call transfer.
You will hear the following prompt:
Press 1 For Blind Mode of Call Transfer
Press 2 For Semi-Supervised Mode of Call Transfer
Press 3 For Fully-Supervised Mode of Call Transfer
The transfer mode will be enabled corresponding to the digit pressed.
Time before Deciding No-Answer: This is the time for which the Synectix VMS Lite
waits before deciding that there is no answer from the called Operator extension.
