Synectix VMS Lite
This is the period for which the Office is closed for Lunch etc. Enter the Starting time
and Ending Time with the hours in 24-Hour format.
For example, if the desired Break time is from 1 P.M. to 1.45 P.M., enter 13001345. If the
Break time is not required at all, enter 00000000 to signify that there is no Break time.
1.3.1.3
This is the period for which the Office is normally open for business. Enter the Starting
time and Ending Time with the hours in 24-Hour format.
For example, if the desired Working time is from 9 A.M. to 5.30 P.M., enter 09001730. If
you want to play the Working Hours greeting for all the 24 hours (for example, if your
factory is working 3 shifts round the clock) then enter the same time as beginning time
and the ending time. For example, 08000800, which signifies that it is always Working
hours.
Changing the Mode of Operation : Sometimes it is necessary to be able to change
the Day or Night mode of operation manually without changing the work timings or
going into programming mode – typically to be done by the Operator before he or she
goes out to lunch or leaves for the day etc. In such cases, a short dial string may be
used as described below.
Call in to the unit and while the main greeting is playing, dial ***55 p where p=0 or 1
or 2 or 3 or 4 for Auto, break, Day, night, holiday mode respectively. If p=5, the unit will
prompt the current mode of operation (zero, one, two, three or four) and then return to
play the main greeting.
The dialed mode of operation will override the programmed clock settings until the
user dials and sets the mode back to Auto change over mode. In the Auto mode, the
Day, Break and Night modes will change automatically as per the programmed timings.
1.3.1.4
You may specify a Weekly holiday in the Synectix VMS Lite or if so desired, you may
not have a Weekly holiday at all. To set the Weekly holiday, enter the corresponding
digit. For example: 0 = No Weekly holiday, 1 = Sunday and so on, 7 = Saturday.
Valid digits are 0 to 7. If any other digit is entered the Unit will not accept that value
and prompts back with "This entry is Invalid".
1.3.1.5
The Holiday greeting is played to all callers on Weekly and Weekend Holidays. The
programming is the same as for the "Weekly Holiday".
1.3.1.6
The Synectix VMS Lite allows you to define up to a Maximum of 32 holiday dates. On
all these dates, the Synectix VMS Lite plays the Holiday greeting to all callers. Under
this option you may do the following -
