3.2) Control : The flow divider
The flow divider mounted in our circuit is intended to compensate for wheel skid on one of the Hydro
124D's wheels.
In normal operation, as soon as a wheel is blocked, all the oil is directed to the "free" wheel : this wheel
then skids. By activating the flow divider, we force the flow to separate into equal parts to supply the
wheel motors. Each wheel receives 50% of the flow : the motor of the blocked wheel is supplied again
and turns again.
The flow divider is used as a differential lock.
