2.2.2) The pressure limiting devices

General points
The pressure limiting devices are controlled by the pressure in the circuit. When the
maximum pressure predetermined by the valve loading is reached, the flow from the pump is
directed towards another use or to the tank. The role of this component is to protect the
hydraulic components against the risks due to overloading.

Symbols

Applied to a circuit

We have two pressure limiting devices linked to the tandem pump.
One for the circuit supplied by the 4cc pump (equipment circuit) which is integrated in the
ORBITROL.
The other for the circuit supplied by the 16cc pump (PTO circuit) and which is mounted on the
control valve at the front of the machine.
