Checking the efficiency of the drive transmission system.

MEASUREMENT OF THE MAX. SPEED of the Hydro 124D.
This is the simplest means of testing the performances of the drive transmission system.
Take a distance of 50 metres in a straight line on a flat tarmac surface (not on a slope). With the
machine already running (not starting from stop), at max. engine rate. Measure the time necessary to
cover this distance. Using the table below, find the corresponding speed :
Time for 50m
Speed in km/h (machine)
14 km/h < speed accepted for the Hydro124D < 16 km/h
If the speed is lower than the min. speed accepted, check :
-
that no mechanical control part seized, blocked or disconnected (pedals, push-pull cable,
pump control lever).
-
that there are no oil sump leaks on the pump or on a wheel motor
-
that the external leakage is within the values allowed.
If the speed is higher than the max. speed accepted, check the engine speed. It should not exceed
2850 rpm.

MEASUREMENT OF THE PRESSURE OF THE TRANSMISSION CIRCUIT

The connection for checking the pressure can be found on the flow divider. It is protected by a green
cap. The pressure of this circuit is limited to 207 bars.
Connect a manometer graduated up to 250 bars. Bring the front of the machine gently into contact with
an obstacle (wall...). Press progressively on the forward drive pedal and at the same time measure the
pressure. When the max. pressure is reached (the needle will go no further even if you press harder on
the pedal), note the pressure and release the pedal.
