LOGGING TO A GRID-POINT FILE

To start a Grid-Point logging session :
Select Remote-Logging Open → Log-File → Grid-Point... option on the main
window menu-bar :
Grid-Point Remote-Logging
The
Open a file for Remote-Logging :
Either : click on the Open New button open a new Logfile
This allows you to open a new file, using a Template file [with a .gs0 file extension] :
a file previously created in CygLink from the

Or : click on the Open button to open an existing Logfile
This allows you to reopen an existing Grid-Point file [with a .gs1 file extension] :
a file previously opened for a Remote-Logging session
The file contents are now read into the
For a new file : all of the Reading values will be listed as missed, meaning that the no
Readings have yet been attempted
All of the Readings from the first Grid-Point Record in the Grid-Point file will appear in
Grid-Point
the list in the
view the current Readings
The presentation of the Grid-Point Records, and of the Readings which appear in the list,
depends on whether the file was designated to take Readings across Rows or down Columns,
and also whether there are single or multiple Readings required at each Grid-Point
There are thus three variations for the Grid-Point file display :
Grid-Point file with multiple Readings at each measurement point
Grid-Point file with a single Reading at each measurement point, specified for
measurement across Rows
Grid-Point file with a single Reading at each measurement point, specified for
measurement up/down Columns
