7 Move the platform up and down by hand, so it
bounces approximately 2.5 to 5 cm / 1 to 2
inches. Allow the platform to settle.
Result: The alarm should be off. The platform
overload indicator light should be off at the
platform controls and there should be no error
message on the LCD display at the ground
controls. Proceed to step 8.
Result: The overload indicator lights are
flashing at the platform and ground controls,
and the alarm is sounding. Repeat this
procedure beginning with step 5.
Note: There may be a 2 second delay before the
platform overload indicator light and alarm
responds.
8 Add an additional 10 lb / 4.5 kg test weight to
the platform.
Result: The alarm should be sounding.
The platform overload indicator light should be
flashing at the platform controls and
"PLATFORM OVERLOAD" should be displayed
on the LCD screen at the ground controls.
Proceed to step 9.
Result: The alarm should be off. The platform
overload indicator light should be off at the
platform controls and there should be no error
message on the LCD display at the ground
controls. Remove the additional 10 lb / 4.5 kg
test weight. Repeat this procedure beginning
with step 6.
Note: There may be a 2 second delay before the
platform overload indicator light and alarm
responds.
9 Test all machine functions from the platform
controls.
Result: All platform control functions should not
operate.
10 Turn the key switch to ground control.

11 Test all machine functions from the ground
controls.
Result: All ground control functions should not
operate.
12 Using a suitable lifting device, lift the test weight
off the platform floor.
Result: The alarm should be off. The platform
overload indicator light should be off at the
platform controls and there should be no error
message on the LCD display at the ground
controls.
Note: There may be a 2 second delay before the
overload indicator lights and alarm turn off.
13 Test all machine functions from the ground
controls.
Result: All ground control functions should
operate normally.
14 Turn the key switch to platform control.
15 Test all machine functions from the platform
controls.
Result: All platform control functions should
operate normally.
