If special paper is loaded, the paper type setting must be specified. For details, refer to

Be careful not to touch the film.
Do not load so many sheets of paper that the top of the stack is higher than the , mark.

If the machine has entered Low Power mode or Sleep mode, the LCT cannot be pulled out, even after
the tray release button is pressed. Be sure to first cancel Low Power mode or Sleep mode.

Loading paper into the bypass tray

Paper can be fed manually through the bypass tray if you wish to print onto paper that is not loaded into a
paper tray, or if you wish to print onto thick paper 4, postcards, envelopes, OHP transparencies or label
sheets.

For thick paper 4, only A3 w, A4 v, 11 × 17 w and 8-1/2 × 11 v are available for printing.

When loading large-sized paper, pull out the tray
extension.

With the side to be printed on facing down, insert the paper as much as possible into the feed slot.
