BMC Firmware Update
The firmware of the BMC on the PCI module can be updated. The BMC firmware can be updated
by using the ft server utility. To update the BMC firmware, the firmware image file must previously
be updated on the managed server. On the BMC firmware update screen, specify the pass of the
image file of the firmware to be updated.
IMPORTANT: Contact your maintenance engineer for the update of the BMC firmware.

Procedure in ft server utility
1. Save the image data of the update firmware in a desired directory of the NEC Express5800/ft
series.
Write down the path to the directory in which the image data is saved.
IMPORTANT: Please save the file name by 1 to 255 characters length.
2. Select the target BMC #n of firmware #n in the [BMC] tree.
BMC #0 is BMC of the PCI module (ID:10), BMC #1 is BMC of the PCI module (ID:11).
