■ Receiving DSC Calls (Continued)
D Receiving a Geographical Area call
While monitoring Channel 70 and a Geographical Area call
(for the area you are in) is received:
➥ Emergency alarm or beeps sound depending on the
received category.
➥ "Received Geographic" is displayed on the screen.
➥ "
" and the LCD backlight blink.

➥ Push [CLR] to stop the beeps and the backlight blinking,
then push [ENT] to change to the channel specified by
the calling station for voice communication; push other
key to ignore the Geographical Area call.
➥ Monitor the selected channel for an announcement from
the calling station.
When no GPS receiver is connected or if there is a
problem with the connected receiver, all Geographical
Area calls are received, regardless of your position.

While monitoring Channel 70 and a Position Report Call is received:

push [ENT] to reply to the call; push [CLR] to ignore the call.
• After transmitting a reply call, then push [ENT] to display the
position information, or push [CLR] to exit the screen.
