4.4.21.1 Assembly of CD-R Guide Assy

Lubrication is necessary. Refer to the following section and
lubricate the specified points:
Lubrication of CD-R Guide Assy (p.159)
1. Apply grease to the specified points.
2. Check that the EJ Frame Assy has been installed properly.
3. Put the right and left shanks of the CD-R Guide Assy into the guide holes in the Right
and Left Racks and the Right and Left EJ Links.
In doing so, make sure that the tips of the right and left CD-R latches of the CD-R
Guide Assy are in contact with the EJ Frame Assy. (See Figure 4-69)
4. Set the left side CD-R Gear 17.6 in place, and pass the CD-R Shaft through the gear
from the left side. Then pass the shaft through the washer and spring at the locations
shown at right and through the right frame. (See Figure 4-70)
5. Install the parallel pin to secure the left side CD-R Gear 17.6, and attach the E-type
retaining ring to the CD-R Shaft.
6. At the right side, install the parallel pin, CD-R Gear 17.6 and E-type retaining ring on
the CD-R Shaft.

After fixing the right side CD-R Gear 17.6 in place with the E-type
P O I N T
retaining ring, pull the CD-R Guide Assy toward you, and check
that the CD-R Shaft is exactly horizontal. If it is not exactly
horizontal, push the CD-R Shaft to the right and adjust the gear
engagement position.
7. Install the CD-R Right Cam, and install the washer and E-type retaining ring.
8. Attach the CD-R Link Lever, set the spring and Spring Cover in place, and install the
CD-R Stopper.
9. Install the CD-R torsion springs at both sides.
