3.4 Ink Supply Related Troubleshooting

Printer stops during initialization or printing.

Check Point
Check to see if ink is remaining in all the ink cartridges. Replace the ink cartridge.
Check to see if all the ink cartridges have been installed
in the I/C holders.
Check to see if no ink cartridge is in a raised position.
The front or back hook of an ink cartridge is broken.
Check to see if the CSIC Board is not dislocated.
Check to see if no chip on the CSIC Board is chipping. Replace the ink cartridge.

Check Point
Install a new ink cartridge and test printing.
Check the FFC connection between each CSIC Board ~
Main Board.
Check for debris adhering to Cleaner Blade.
Check each FFC with a circuit tester.
Alternate cleaning and test printing several times.
Check to see if there is no ink leakage between the I/C ~
Printhead.
Check to see if the connector of each unit is connected. Connect the connector properly or replace it.
Check to see if there is no abnormality in the tubes
between the Pressure Pump Assy ~ Pressure Sensor ~ IC
Holder Assy.
Ink Supply Related Troubleshooting
Remedy
Install all the ink cartridges.
Install the ink cartridge properly.
Replace the ink cartridge.
Replace the ink cartridge.
Remedy
Replace the ink cartridge.
Connect the FFC firmly.
Clean or replace the Cleaner Blade.
Replace the FFC.
When the condition is not improved even after cleaning, replace the Printhead or
Valve Assy with a new one.
Identify the leak point in the ink tubes and install them properly. (Or replace)
Connect each tube properly or replace the defective tube.
