4.4.14 Waste Ink Pads (Platen Area)

C A U T I O N
Take due care not to stain any surrounding objects with waste ink.
1. Remove the Linear Scale. (p.91)
2. Remove the Printer Mechanism. (p.107)
3. Remove the Carriage Assy. (p.116)
4. Remove the Paper Guide Front Assy (Platen). (p.119)
5. Remove the right and left waste ink pads, by picking them up with tweezers, from the
Lower Paper Guide with care not to stain any surrounding objects with ink.
Place the waste ink pads under the hooks of the Lower Paper
Guide.

On the occasion of replacing the Waste Ink Pads with new ones as
R E Q U I R E D
required by a maintenance error, replace all the specified parts
with new ones and clear the counter value.
