NOTE: If vehicle is used in dusty areas,
inspect more frequently than specified

If liquid or deposits are found, squeeze
and remove the clamp. Pull drain tube
out then empty it.
NOTICE
Do not start engine when
liquid or deposits are found in the
drain tube.
When liquid or deposits are found,
the air filter must be inspected/dried/
replaced depending on its condition.
Remove air filter as explained in this
section.

Muffler Spark Arrester

Muffler Spark Arrester Cleaning
The muffler spark arrester must be
periodically cleaned from accumu-
lated carbon. Refer to
SCHEDULE
.
The entire exhaust system should also
be visually inspected for cracks, leaks
or any damage.
CAUTION Never perform this
operation immediately after the en-
gine has been running because ex-
haust system is very hot.
Remove the spark arrester from the
muffler.

Remove carbon deposits from the
spark arrester using a brush.
NOTE: Use a soft brush and be careful
to avoid damaging spark arrester.
