Neutral Lamp (GREEN)
Indicates the transmission is in
neutral position.

8) Ignition Switch

The ignition switch is located in the
middle of the handlebar.
Key-operated, 2-position switch.

1. Ignition switch
2. OFF
3. ON with lights
Insert key in switch and turn to ON po-
sition. To remove key, turn key to OFF
position then pull it out.
Remember that having the lights on
without the engine running discharges
the battery. Always turn ignition to
OFF position after engine has been
stopped.
NOTE: While engine can be stopped
by turning ignition key to OFF position,
we recommend the engine be stopped
by the engine stop switch.

9) Fuel Valve

The fuel valve is located on the RH side
of the vehicle near engine.
This is a 3-position rotary valve. Rotate
the knob to align its pointer to the de-
sired position.

Stops fuel supply to carburetor.
NOTICE
Turn valve to OFF position
when vehicle is not being operated
or when transporting.
ON
Allows fuel to flow to carburetor. This
is the normal position for operation of
the vehicle.
RES. (RESERVE)
When fuel is exhausted in the fuel tank
when in the ON position, an emer-
gency supply of fuel is available by
turning the tab to RES. The reserve
contains approximately 10% of the
fuel tank capacity. Use only this posi-
tion when the ON supply is empty.
When down to the reserve, refuel as
soon as possible. Ensure to turn the
valve back to the ON position after re-
fuelling.
NOTICE
Improper opening of fuel
valve will restrict the flow of fuel.
Make sure valve is fully opened
while running.
