14. Properly reinstall all previously re-
moved parts.

Air Filter

Air Filter Removal
NOTICE
Never remove or mod-
ify any component in the air filter
housing. Always use genuine parts
or suitable equivalent when replac-
ing air filter or prefilter. The engine
is calibrated to operate specifically
with these components. Otherwise,
engine performance degradation or
damage can occur.
1. Remove seat.
2. Release clamps and remove air fil-
ter housing cover.

3. Loosen clamp and remove filter.

4. Remove prefilter from air filter.

PRE-FILTER
Air Filter Cleaning
Pre-Filter
1. Clean pre-filter using hot water and
soap (only use mild detergent).
2. Rinse then squeeze pre-filter to re-
move excess water.
Let dry pre-filter thoroughly.
Air Filter
1. Pour air filter cleaner (P/N 219 700
341) or an equivalent into a bucket.
Put the filter in to soak.
2. While filter soaks, clean inside of air
filter housing.
