6. Disconnect the power steering pressure and pump return hoses from the power
steering pump.
7. For 2003 through 2004 vehicles, remove the powertrain control module (PCM) from
the mounting bracket and set it aside.
8. For 2005 through 2007 vehicles, remove the engine control module (ECM) from the
mounting bracket and set it aside.

9. Detach the power steering hose assembly from the frame.
10. Remove the power steering hose assembly from the engine compartment.
11. Lift the vehicle.
12. Thoroughly clean the power steering gear inlet and outlet ports of any debris.
