Instrumentation and Controls
• The system sensors or the rear
bumper are damaged.
Take the vehicle to the dealer
as soon as possible to have the
vehicle repaired.
• A bicycle or other object is
attached to the rear of the
vehicle.
• An object is hanging out of the
trunk.
• A tow bar is attached to the
vehicle.
• The system receives vibrations
from a large nearby vehicle or
from heavy equipment such as
a jackhammer.

If the system does not activate
because of a temporary condition,
the following message will appear
in the Driver Information Center
display:
• PARKING ASSIST OFF (parking
assist off)
This message will clear itself after a
short time.
If the system is still disabled after
conditions return to normal and
driving forward at a minimum
speed of 25 km/h, see your dealer
for service.
■ MEMORY FEATURE (IF
EQUIPPED)
The memory feature allows two
different drivers (Driver 1 and
Driver 2) to store and recall their
own memory positions for the
following features:
• driver's seat
• outside rearview mirrors
• telescopic power tilt steering
wheel (if equipped)
The buttons are located on the
driver's door.
