CAUTION
Each top strap anchor or set of
attaching points is designed to
hold only one child restraint.
Attaching more than one child
restraint to a single anchor or
attaching point could cause the
anchor or attaching point to
come loose or even break
during a collision. A child or
others may be injured. To
prevent injury to people and
damage to the vehicle, attach
only one child restraint per
anchor or attaching point.
4. For a forward-facing child
restraint, attach the top strap
to the top strap anchor.
See "Top Strap" earlier in this
section.
Consult the manufacturer's
instructions to determine
when and how to tighten the
top strap.
5. Push and pull the child
restraint in different directions
to make sure it is secure.
Section 2
To remove the child restraint,
unhook the top strap (if equipped)
from the top strap anchor and
then disconnect the anchor
points.
CAUTION
If you have been in a collision,
the anchoring system may have
been damaged. Repairs may be
necessary even if the anchoring
system was not used at the time
of the collision. Have the
anchoring and restraint systems
inspected after a collision.
