Passenger Safety Belt
Reminder Light
The passenger safety belt reminder
light is located on the instrument
panel.
When you start the vehicle, a
chime will come on for several
seconds to remind the front
passenger to fasten their safety
belt. The passenger safety belt
reminder light will also flash.
If the passenger's belt is buckled,
neither the chime nor the light will
come on.
The chime and light will repeat if
the passenger remains unbuckled
and the vehicle is in motion.
The warning light and chime may
turn on if an object is put on the
seat such as a briefcase, handbag,
or grocery bag. To turn off the
warning light and/or chime,
remove the object from the seat or
buckle the safety belt.
