Operating Tips

Before using the air conditioning
system, open the windows for a
few minutes to permit hot air to
escape. Close the windows when
using the air conditioning system.
Clear away any ice, snow, or leaves
from the air inlets at the base of
the windshield that could block
the flow of air into the vehicle.
Keep the area under the front seats
clear of objects to help air circulate
through the vehicle.
Only use GM-approved hood
deflectors on your vehicle.
Check with your dealer before
adding equipment to the outside
of your vehicle.

Rear Window Defogger

Press
to defog your rear
window. The defogger turns off
by itself after approximately
15 minutes if your vehicle is travel-
ling at slower speeds. At higher
speeds, the rear defogger may run
continuously.
If the defogger is reactivated
immediately after completion of
the initial cycle, it will only run for
ten minutes at a time.
The engine must be running in
order for this feature to work.
You can also turn the defogger off
by turning off the ignition or press-
ing the button again.
The outside mirrors are heated
every time the rear defogger is
activated.
This feature helps to clear fog and
frost from the surface of the
mirror.
