Seats and Restraints
For a forward-facing child
restraint, attach the top strap to
the top strap anchor.
• If the seat does not have a head
rest or head restraint, route the
top strap directly over the seat-
back.

• If the seat has a fixed head rest
or head restraint and the child
restraint has a single top strap,
route the top strap over the
head rest or head restraint.
• If the seat has a fixed head rest
or head restraint and the child
restraint has a dual top strap,
route the top straps around the
head rest or head restraint.
Consult the manufacturer's
instructions for the child restraint
to determine when and how to
tighten the top strap.
