Chapter 2.

2.1 Using the LCD

As shown in Figure 6, each LIP-9000 model has a different display. The top
line of each display shows various icons as shown in the Icons chart below.
The LIP-9010 has a 3-line display. While idle, the second line displays the
station name or number and the third displays the date and time. These two
lines are used to provide call status and feature information while the phone
is in use.
The LIP-9020 display has a 4-line display. The first three lines are the same
as the LIP-9010. The fourth line displays the interactive softkey menu to
guide you through feature access and User Program selections. The
display indicates the function for each softkey based on the status of your
phone. In some cases, there may be more than three available softkey
functions. In this case, a right arrow displays on the right side of the menu
line. The right Navigation key scrolls to the next set of three functions, and
the left key moves to the previous menu choices.
The LIP-9030 and LIP-9040 have a 6-line and 8-line Liquid Crystal Display
(LCD), respectively. The upper section, which consists of a single line,
displays station number, various icons, time and flexible button page
number. The middle section displays the label for each flexible button or, for
the LIP-9040, a monthly calendar displays when the CALENDR Softkey is
pressed.. This section of the display also provides the called or calling
name or number display, feature status, etc. The lower section, which
consists of a single line, is the interactive menu of three softkeys described
in the previous paragraph.
