Hunt Group/Group Call

A group of users can be linked together to form a
hunt group. The members of the user group have
a common number for the hunt group in addition to
their individual station numbers. This can be useful
for order processing or complaints departments,
for example.
Incoming calls are signaled at all of the telephones
in the hunt group in sequence until one member of
the group accepts the call.
Incoming calls are also switched through or as-
signed to members of the hunt group when they
are busy. Callers receive an on-hook signal. The call
is switched to the first telephone to become avail-
able in the hunt group.
A group of users can also be combined to form a
group call group. This means that in addition to
their individual station numbers these users have a
common number for group call. This can be useful
when issuing simultaneous announcements to
several users, for example (
Incoming calls are signaled simultaneously at all
telephones in the group until one member of the
group answers.
The hunt group/group call feature is only available
if it has been configured by the service technician.
Each member of a hunt group or group call team
remains available under his or her own station
number. All functions that are set up, such as call
forwarding, apply to the member's personal sta-
tion number and to the member within the group.
