The DMA is reserved by BIOS for PCI and ISA PnP
devices.
The DMA is assigned to legacy ISA for devices compliant
with the original PC AT bus specification, PCI/ISA PNP for
devices compliant with the Plug and Play standard
whether designed for PCI or ISA bus architecture.
Unless the VGA card manufacturer requires palette
EFAULT
snooping to be enabled, this option should be disabled.
PCI devices are informed that an ISA based Graphics
device is installed in the system so the ISA based
Graphics card will function correctly. This does not
necessarily indicate a physical ISA adapter card. The
graphics chipset can be mounted on a PCI card. Always
check with the adapter card manual first, before
modifying the default settings in the BIOS.
