Cleaning Air Cleaner Primary Element - Hisun HS 500 Owner's Manual

① Torque wheel bolts to 75to 90 N.m

■ Cleaning air cleaner primary element

1. Open the hood cover.
2. Open the air cleaner case cover.
3. Remove the air filter element.
4. Remove the sponge material from its frame.
5. Wash the sponge
thoroughly in solvent.
6. Squeeze the excess solvent out of the sponge
material and let it dry.
7. Inspect the sponge material and replace it if
damaged.
8. Thoroughly apply foam air filter oil or other
quality liquid foam air filter oil (not spray type)
to the sponge material.
9. Pull the sponge material over its frame.
10. Install the air filter element.
11. Install the air filter case cover and be sure the
crankcase breather hose is connected.

IMPORTANT

Do not run the engine with filter element
removed.

Be sure to refit the cover with the arrow (on
the rear of cover) upright if the cover is
improperly fitted evacuator valve will not
function and dust will adhere to the element.
◆ Evacuator Valve
Open the air cleaner cover once a week under
ordinary conditions –or daily when used in a dusty
place-to get rid of large particles of dust and dirt.
Check fuel line and fuel filter.
