WAN Port Configuration using RFC1483

Refer to Procedure M for information on configuring the WAN Port using RFC1483.

Select RFC1483 in the System Menu (Figure 42).

Enter the VPI value in the VPI field.

Enter the VCI value in the VCI field.

Select the Quality of Service type: UBR (default setting), CBR, or VBR. A pop-up screen appears. Enter the
appropriate information.

Select the Encapsulation type: LLC (default setting) or VCMUX.

If obtaining an IP automatically is desired under Local IP, click the Obtain an IP automatically box. Otherwise,
enter the value for the Local IP in the Local IP field.

Enter the value for the Subnet Mask in the Subnet Mask field.

Select either Set as Default Route, Edit Routing Table, or RIP under Routing Table (RIP is the default setting).

If NAT is desired, click the NAT box under Advanced.

Click the Apply button if all data is correct.
