WAN Port Configuration

Clicking the WAN Port Setting hyperlink brings up the Configure WAN Port screen
(Figure 16). Procedure E describes the method for configuring the WAN Port using
RFC1483. Procedure F describes the method for configuring the WAN Port using
PPPoE Relay.

Quality of Service Setup

To set up Quality of Service (QoS) under WAN Port configuration, click on the
desired QoS format (UBR, CBR or VBR) in the appropriate screen. The formats are
as follows:

UBR (Unspecified Bit Rate) – the user has the option of specifying the Peak
Cell Rate (PCR).
CBR (Constant Bit Rate) – the user must specify the PCR.
VBR (Variable Bit Rate) – the user must specify the PCR, Sustainable Cell
Rate (SCR), Burst Tolerance, and the maximum burst size.
