Electrical Shock Hazard
Disconnect power before servicing.
Replace all parts and panels before
operating.
Failure to do so can result in death or
electrical shock.
1.
Unplug refrigerator or disconnect power.
NOTE: The refrigerator and freezer light sock-
ets are identical and are removed in the same
manner.
2.
Depending on the light, open the freezer
or refrigerator door, and remove any items
from the shelf that are in front of the light.
It may be necessary to remove the shelf as
well. The light locations are shown below.

Remove the light shield.
4.
Remove the bulb from the socket.
5.
Grasp the light socket by the rounded
portion and pull out on the narrow end,
while pressing the locking arm (see the
photo below) with a screwdriver blade.
Pull out on the socket until it disengages
from the opening.
6.
Disconnect the two wires from the light
socket terminals.
