Manually setting up a wired network connection

On the Network setup menu, select "Network
Connect" and "Wired" in order.

Select "DHCP", and set it to Off.

Return to "Wired", and then select "IP Address".

Select the desired digit by pressing the CURSOR
LEFT()/RIGHT() buttons.
The cursor moves to the desired digit.

Press the CURSOR UP()/DOWN() buttons to
input the desired number on the selected digit.

Return to the previous menu, and then input
the Subnet Mask, Gateway, Primary DNS, and
Secondary DNS.
Wireless connection
Before you setup the connection, check that the
WiFi antenna is connected to the WiFi terminal
properly and securely. For details, see "Connecting to
Network" on page 26.
If your wireless router with access point supports
WPS function, you can select "WPS". If not,
select "AP List".

Setting up a wireless network via AP

On the Network setup menu, select "Network
Connect" and "Wireless" in order.

Select "AP List".

Select one of the APs on the list.

Input the Key if required.
Move the cursor to the desired number by
pressing the CURSOR LEFT()/RIGHT()
buttons, and press the ENTER button to input
the selected number.
To delete the number entered, select "".
To confirm your entry, select "E".
To cancel and return to the previous menu,
select "C".

Press the ENTER button to confirm your
selection.
The Network setup will restart automatically
and the WiFi indicator will be displayed on the
fluorescent display.

Using JB Connect
Before JB Connect was introduced, an access
point ("AP") was required if you wanted to
connect two devices to each other through a
wireless connection.
Using JB Connect, you can connect two
devices without an AP now.
Follow the setting process below.

From your iPod or iPhone, search the R-977,
and then access it.

Using Login Sharing
Using Login Sharing, you can apply the current
AP setting on your iPod or iPhone to the AP
setting on the R-977 without searching APs
one by one.
Set an AP on your iPod or iPhone.
Connect the iPod or iPhone to the R-977.
