• Paper Select Mode

Purpose:
To set the way to select the paper tray for PostScript mode.The change becomes effective after the printer is turned
off and then on again.
Values:
Auto*
Select From Tray
• Output Color
Purpose:
To specify the color mode to Color or Black and White. This setting is used for a print job which does not specify a

print mode.

Values:
Color*
Black and White

PDF Settings

Use the PDF Settings menu to change printer settings that only affect the PDF jobs.
NOTE:
Values marked by an asterisk (*) are the factory default menu settings.
• Quantity
Purpose:
To specify the number of copies to print.
Values:

1–999
• 2 Sided Print
Purpose:
To specify whether to print on both sides of a sheet of paper.
Values:
1 Sided*
2 Sided
Binding Edge
• Print Mode
Purpose:
To specify the print mode.
Values:
*
Normal
High Quality
High Speed

Using the Operator Panel Menus and Keypad
The tray is selected as the same setting as in the PCL mode.
The tray is selected in a method compatible with regular PostScript printers.
Prints in color mode.
Prints in black and white mode.
Sets the value in increments of 1.
Does not print on both sides of a sheet of paper.

Long Edge Flip
Prints on both sides of a sheet of paper to be bound by long edge.
Short Edge Flip
Prints on both sides of a sheet of paper to be bound by short edge.
For documents with normal sized characters.
For documents with small characters or thin lines, or documents printed using a dot-matrix
printer.
Prints with the higher speed than the Normal mode, but the quality is less.
