Using the Secure Receiving Mode

You may need to prevent your received faxes from being accessed by unauthorized people. You can turn on the
secure fax mode using the Secure Receive option to restrict printing out all of the received faxes when the printer
is unattended. In the secure receiving mode, all incoming faxes will go in memory. When the mode turns off, any
faxes stored will be printed.
NOTE:
Before operation, ensure Panel Lock is enabled.
To turn the secure receiving mode on:

Press the
(System) button.

Select the Tools tab, and then select Admin Settings.

Select Fax Settings.

Select Incoming Defaults.

Select Secure Receive.

Select Secure Receive Set.

Select Enable, and then select OK.

Enter a four-digit password using the number pad, and then select OK.
To return to the top level of the System menu, press the CA (Clear All) button.
When a fax is received in the secure receiving mode, your printer stores it into memory and the Active Jobs
screen displays Secure Receive to let you know that there is a fax stored.
To print received documents:

Press the
(Job Status) button.

Select Secure Fax Receive.

Enter the passcode, and then select OK.
The faxes stored in memory are printed.
To turn the secure receiving mode off:

Access the Secure Receive Set menu by following steps from

Select Disable, and then select OK.
To return to the top level of the System menu, press the CA (Clear All) button.
