DIAGNOSTIC DISPLAYED
OA Temperature Sensor
Failure
Problem: The Outside Air
Temperature sensor input is
out of range.
Check: Sensor resistance
should be between 830 ohms
(200 F) and 345.7Kohms (-40
F). If so, check field/unit
wiring between Sensor and
RTM.
Occupied Dehumidification
SETPOINT Failure
Problem: The input designated
as Occupied Dehumidification
SETPOINT source is out of
range.
Check: Wiring to the GBAS
input designated for Occupied
Dehumidification SETPOINT or
check BAS/Network interface
card status and wiring.
Occupied Humidification
SETPOINT Failure
Problem: The input designated
as Occupied Humidification
SETPOINT source is out of
range.
Check: Wiring to the GBAS
input designated for Occupied
Humidification SETPOINT or
check BAS/Network interface
card status and wiring.
Occupied Zone Cool
SETPOINT Failure
Problem: The Occupied Zone
Cooling SETPOINT Input out of
range.
Occupied Zone Heat
SETPOINT Failure
Problem: The Occupied Zone
Heating SETPOINT Input is out
of range.

REASON FOR DIAGNOSTIC
The unit is reading a signal
that is out of range for the
Outside Air Temperature
sensor input on the RTM.
(Temp < -55 F or Temp > 209
F).
Occupied Dehumidification
SETPOINT input is out of
range: Humidity <40% or
Humidity >65%
Occupied Humidification
SETPOINT input is out of
range: Humidity <20% or
Humidity >50%
The input designated as
Occupied Zone Cooling
SETPOINT source is out of
range (Temperature < 45 F or
Temperature > 94 F).
The input designated as
Occupied Zone Heating
SETPOINT source is out of
range (Temperature < 45 F or
Temperature > 94 F).
System Testing & Troubleshooting
UCM'S REACTION
Unit functions that are
disabled include;
a. Low Ambient Compressor
Lockout
b. The Outside Air Damper
drives to minimum position.
c. On VAV units with SA Temp
Reset type selected as OA
Temp Reset, the Reset type
reverts to NONE for the
duration of the failure.
The active Occupied
Dehumidification SETPOINT
reverts to the default
Occupied Dehumidification
SETPOINT.
The active Occupied
Humidification SETPOINT
reverts to the default Occupied
Humidifications SETPOINT.
The active Occupied Zone
Cooling SETPOINT reverts to
the default Occupied Zone
Cooling SETPOINT.
The active Occupied Zone
Heating SETPOINT reverts to
the default Occupied Zone
Heating SETPOINT.
RESET REQUIRED
(PAR) An automatic reset
occurs after the OA Temp
input returns to its allowable
range. In order to prevent
rapid cycling of the Diagnostic,
there is a 10 second delay
before the automatic reset.
(PAR) An automatic reset
occurs after the Occupied
Dehumidification SETPOINT
input
returns to within range for 10
continuous seconds, or after a
different, valid Occupied
Dehumidification SETPOINT
selection source is user
defined.
(PAR) An automatic reset
occurs after the Occupied
Humidification SETPOINT input
returns to within range for 10
continuous seconds, or after a
different, valid Occupied
Humidification SETPOINT
selection source is user-
defined.
(PAR) An automatic reset
occurs after the designated
Occupied Zone CSP input
returns to its allowable range
for 10 continuous seconds, or
after a different, valid
Occupied Zone CSP selection
source is user-defined.
