ENGINE REASSEMBLY

Piston ring installation

Fit the piston rings as shown in the diagram. If the piston ring is
marked on one side, that side must be facing up.

PISTON RING END GAP ALIGNMENT

Piston and cylinder installation

Remove the cylinder protection (1).
Install a new cylinder foot gasket (2).
Assemble piston (3) to connecting rod (4) (lubricate with engine oil) and fit the
piston pin retaining rings (5).
Make sure the arrow mark on the piston is pointing to the front end.
Make sure that the locating pins (6) are in place.
